Diving Around Inhaca, Santa Maria & Machangulo
The waters surrounding Inhaca, Santa Maria, and Machangulo remain some of Mozambique’s most enchanting and largely unexplored treasures. Each season brings its own rhythm and magic beneath the waves.
In the warmth of summer, the ocean embraces divers with inviting 29°C waters, where encounters with the graceful ragged‑tooth sharks add to the thrill. As winter arrives, the sea cools to around 22°C, and with it comes one of nature’s greatest spectacles — the migration of humpback and southern right whales, majestic giants passing through our coastline.
And even when the ocean side conditions don’t allow for adventure, we are blessed with the protected reef along Inhaca’s inner edge. This sanctuary offers calm waters and a kaleidoscope of marine life, ensuring that every day holds the promise of discovery.
Here, diving is not just about depth — it’s about connection: with nature, with conservation, and with the stories the ocean whispers to those willing to listen.
